Day 01: Fly into Leh; 3505 meters / 11567 feet. Arrive at Leh Airport. Take the first whiff of this spectacular mountain city as you step out into 10000 feet plus terrain. You are received and welcomed by our local representative at the airport and transferred to hotel and you rest for acclimatization. In the late afternoon, you visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Namgyal Shemo Gompa and then stroll through local Bazaar. This is a four hour trip. Overnight in Hotel at Leh	A young Lama in Leh	Shanti Stupa: 3 km from Fort Road, Leh, it is a magnificent white-domed structure and located on the hilltop at Changspa. There are great views from the top. Leh Bazaar: In the colored streets of Leh Bazaar, Tibetan curios, Kashmiri shawls and carpets can be purchased. Namgyal Tsemo Gompa: Was founded around 1430 AD. It stands atop the crag behind Leh Palace and offers the most splendid visuals of Leh town.
Day 02: After breakfast, drive west, along the Indus river visiting Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia), Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and go down to the Sangam of Zanskar and Indus rivers near Nimu and pass Magnetic Hill (where cars defy gravity), along the way. After lunch, your tour takes you for a monastery tour to get a flavour of the history and culture of Ladakh. With a visit to Spituk Gompa and Kali Mata Temple, Thiksey, Shey you cover the best known monuments around Leh in this phase of your Ladakh package. Also visit Sindhu Ghat if interested. Overnight in Hotel at Leh.	View from Thiksey Monastery, 17 kms south-east of Leh	Shey Gompa: Has a two-storey high image of the seated Buddha., 12 meters high and worked of copper sheets gilded with gold. Thiksey Gompa: One of the best monasteries with beautiful statues of the Maitreya Buddha and Tara in separate halls. Magnetic Hill: Located 30 kms west of Leh it is believed that it has magnetic properties, which attracts metallic objects and even moves heavy vehicles up to a speed of 20 kmph while their engines are switched off!
Day 03: On your Ladakh trip, today you make an early start and travel east via Chang-la Mountain Pass (18,000 ft / 5,475 m) to Pangong Lake, (4267m / 14000 ft.), 145 kms / 5 hours one way. You go upto the Pangong lake shore and the first village, Lukung. Mesmerizing vistas with the changing hues of the waters of the lovely Pangong lake. Drive back to reach Leh by evening. Overnight in Hotel at Leh.	Pangong Lake across Chang La Pass	Pangong Lake is 7 kms at its widest point, and over 130 kms long, and is divided by the international border between India and China only one-third of it lying in India. Spangmik, the farthest point is about 7 kms along the southern shore from the head of the lake. It presents a spectacular view of the mountains of the Chang-chenmo range to the north, their reflections shimmering in the ever-changing blues and greens of the lake�s brackish waters. Above Spangmik are the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Pangong range.
Day 04: Today you drive north upto Khardung La Mountain Pass at 18380 ft., 39 kms one way. Here is supposed to be the highest motorable road not only in India but in the world. Return to Leh by afternoon. Drop to hotel. Later take a walking tour for a last minute shopping stint for curios in Leh Bazaar and perhaps checking out the evening caf� life. Overnight in Hotel at Leh.	Khardung La Mountain Pass	From Khardongla Top, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to the seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. It is the gateway to the Nubra Valley and used to lie on the ancient caravan trade route to Central Asia.
Day 05: Check out from hotel in the morning and transfer to Leh airport to board the morning flight to New Delhi or onward destination, feeling blessed for the stolen moments spent in Ladakh.
